How Can I Get Started Today?

The most accessible way to play ParaParaParadise today is with the official PS2 controller, as I talked about on the Extras page, here.
If you're looking on ebay, the shipping prices and general upcharge for something imported can be pretty hefty - so why not import it yourself!
The easiest way to do this is to find a shopping service like Buyee that'll allow you to shop from Mercari or Yahoo Auctions. That way, it's more likely you'll find a bargain and only have to worry about the shipping cost!

Thanks to engines like Outfox and skins like EKS-D's ParaMania, it's really easy to just plug in your PS2 controller to your computer and get started right away! The Paramania site also has a bunch of fan-made ParaPara simfiles to get you started as well!

The predecessor to Outfox ParaMania is ParaStar, which was built off of StepMania 4 and was notable for being dedicated to ParaPara, unlike Outfox which also supports other games (such as Pump It Up, Taiko, DDR, etc) like base Stepmania.

Z-I-V (or ZIV) is a music gaming news site that hosts a feed about the newest Konami events, simfiles, forums, and an arcade locator, kept up to date by the site's users. All you have to do is go to the arcades page and fill in what series you're looking for and the known locations will pop up!

ZIV isn't always 100% correct, as some pages may have been updated 5+ years ago or since been closed down, so it's important to always double-check yourself, especially if you're travelling a long distance! Still, it's an important resource that more people should know about!
